Discord Timestamp Generator

Pick a date and time, copy a code, and paste it in any message. Discord shows it to each reader in their own time zone.

How Discord timestamps work

A timestamp is a short code such as <t:1767225600:F>. The number is a moment in time, counted in seconds. The letter picks the format.

When you send the code, Discord replaces it with a real date. Someone in London and someone in Tokyo each see their own local time, so nobody has to convert.

Where timestamps work

Messages, embeds, event descriptions and bot replies. They do not work in usernames, channel names or statuses.

Questions

Which format should I use?

Use the relative format for countdowns, such as "in 3 hours". Use the long date and time format for announcements.

Do timestamps update by themselves?

The relative format does. It counts down or up while the message is on screen.
